Our Espresso Blend again scooped 2 stars at the prestigious Great Taste Award 2024.
Black Mountains Roast Espresso Blend was first launched in 2015, with Simon blending the finest Brazilian and Rwandan Beans that were specifically chosen to produce a finely balanced espresso that could be used as the basis of delicious flat whites, americanos and all espresso based coffees.
It's the perfect Coffee for many coffee shops as it was developed specifically to be great for black and for milk based coffees.
Over the years our Espresso Blend has evolved and been tweaked to ensure it also tastes fantastic with oat, soya or almond milk.
However, to this day its roots still remain in great tasting Brazilian and Rwandan Coffee Bean, grown and picked with care and passion, freshly roasted to order.
Anyway, here is what the Judges said:
"There is good oil in the crema. The espresso has a pleasing sharpness, with a tropical fruit undertone with a syrupy sweetness. There is a subtle chocolate note to balance that fruit. It has a smooth, fulfilling mouthfeel, clean, and the flavours are in balance. An interesting coffee. Milk brings out the chocolate notes more."
